BREAKING BARRIERS IN HISTORY- Impact

Because of Bayard Rustin's background he broke through social barriers by the Bus Boycott, The March on Washington, and many other things that led to fair working opportunities for African Americans, even if there is a start in rise of violence now.

With the pass of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, Bayards tireless work and hardworking determination were transferred to human rights and the gay rights movement.

Bayard Rustin had an impact on Civil Rights Movement, Bus Boycott, The March on Washington, The Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Peace Movement, Socialism, Gay Rights Movement, Neoconservatism, and fought for rights for the Southern Railway Company.  Bayard changed so much and was so passionate about the things he fought for.  Bayard was arrested several times throughout his lifetime, but that didn't prevent him from continuing to protest his beliefs.
